What SettlementLeads is
SettlementLeads.com is an advertising and lead-generation service for law firms, operated for licensed attorneys and law firms only. We are not a law firm, do not practise law, and do not provide legal advice or legal services of any kind.
We do not recommend, endorse, rank, or vouch for any attorney or firm, and we are not a lawyer referral service. Featured placement on our consumer properties is paid advertising and is labeled as such.
Fees
All fees are flat: a monthly territory licence fee and a fixed fee per delivered lead, at the published rates agreed in your order. No fee is contingent on the outcome, settlement, or recovery of any matter, and nothing in these terms creates fee sharing between your firm and us.
Per-lead fees apply to delivered leads meeting the qualification spec in your agreement. Duplicate submissions detected within our dedupe window are not billed. Leads from persons on our do-not-contact list are never delivered.
Territories
A territory licence grants your firm exclusive delivery of qualifying leads within the licensed geography and case types for its term. Initial term is 90 days, continuing monthly thereafter until either party ends it with notice as set out in your agreement.
Performance obligations run both ways: minimum monthly delivery on our side, and contact-time standards on yours, each as set in your agreement. Exclusivity may lapse where contact standards are persistently missed.
Your responsibilities
Your firm is solely responsible for its own advertising compliance, client intake, conflicts, engagement decisions, and the practice of law in every jurisdiction where it operates. Nothing we provide is a solicitation made on your behalf unless expressly agreed in writing and compliant with the rules of your jurisdiction.
You will only use lead data to evaluate and provide legal services to the individuals concerned, consistent with the consent they gave and applicable law, including telemarketing laws.
The usual terms
Accounts must be accurate and kept secure. We may suspend accounts for non-payment or misuse. The service is provided as-is to the fullest extent permitted by law; our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
